The Wedding

Our wedding day, March 6, 2009, is going to be a Day in the Geeky Life of Gwen & Joel. We decided we wanted a wedding that reflected each of our personalities. For Joel, that means a wedding that honors his family and his work with SocialThing - a lifestreaming platform. For Gwen, that means a wedding that honors friendships, travel and social media. We believe we’ve captured that in our plan for the day.

I sense something going on here…what’s different about this wedding? It’s very important to us that our friends who live abroad/in other parts of the country are able to virtually attend. We’ll be live broadcasting our wedding day. That means people who aren’t able to be physically present in Boulder can still participate. We plan to vidcast parts of the day. Some of the day is open to the public (look for *tweet tweet* - this means we’ll live-tweet the specifics as we have them - it’s a casual tweetup). If you don’t have a twitter account, get one here, free and follow Gwen + Joel.

Love the site! This is such an awesome way to keep everyone up to date and a great way to chronicle everything that happens…you’ll look back in a year and realize the little details you don’t remember when you write them out and post them here!

I’d love to virtually attend! Will you send more details on the video stream? Congratulations!
