The wedding is one month away. And that is boggling my mind.
I guess I’ve felt pretty chill about the whole thing. It helps that Joel’s mom has been tremendously calm, reassuring, cool, collected and thorough about every aspect of planning this. If she weren’t her calm, collected self I’d probably be spazzing about now.
Updates:
The invites are out (we emailed them, there are no paper invites going on. Save a tree, brides-to-be).
Thanks to more than 2,000 of you voting for us, we won 4th in the Trees Instead contest. A tree will be planted in the name of each of our in-person guests. Thank you!
We’re going to live-stream video during the day. That means if you can’t physically be here for the wedding, you can still watch it. And participate remotely. We’ll have comments off on the live-stream in order to keep, ahem, naughtiness to a minimum. We’ll instead use a hashtag for Twitter to allow virtual guests to talk with us.
The stream will be hosted here on the site. Details closer to time.
Can’t wait to spend time with you all, virtually or in person. It’s going to be way awesome.

hi gwen. yay. when the planning is over, the real fun begins. congrats.
it is perfect for you and your sweet geeky wedding to send out email invites, but i just wanted you to know, since i am in the paper goods business that paper doesn’t always come from trees! so you can send physical invites AND save a tree.
can’t wait to join in the fun virtually from tennessee.
So exciting! I love that you are enjoying the process. You have such joy and adventure ahead and feel so blessed to have a window to your journey!
